Efektivitas Outdoor Learning dalam Meningkatkan Keaktifan dan Hasil Belajar pada Materi Ekosistem Siswa Kelas VII

Pembelajaran IPA pada materi ekosistem masih didominasi metode konvensional sehingga keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji efektivitas pembelajaran outdoor learning terhadap keaktifan dan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design pada 43 siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 12 Palu, yang terdiri atas 20 siswa kelas eksperimen dan 23 siswa kelas kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar dan lembar observasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan N-Gain, paired sample t-test, dan independent sample t-test. Hasil menunjukkan nilai N-Gain kelas eksperimen (0,35) lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol (0,32), keduanya berkategori sedang. Paired sample t-test menunjukkan peningkatan hasil belajar yang signifikan (p = 0,000), sedangkan independent sample t-test menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan antara kedua kelas (p = 0,373). Rata-rata keaktifan siswa pada kelas eksperimen (75,75) juga lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol (66,22). Dengan demikian, outdoor learning efektif meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dan hasil belajar, meskipun tidak memberikan perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional.
