Uji Aktivitas Antioksidan pada Ekstrak Daun Jambu Biji (Psidium Guajava L) Menggunakan DPPH (2,2-Difenil-1-Pikrilhidrazil)

Daun jambu biji Psidium guajava L. merupakan tanaman herbal yang mengandung senyawa bioaktif seperti flavonoid, tanin, saponin, dan alkaloid yang berpotensi sebagai antioksidan alami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak daun jambu biji berdasarkan tingkat kepolaran pelarut. Ekstraksi dilakukan secara maserasi bertingkat menggunakan pelarut n-heksana, etil asetat, dan etanol. Aktivitas antioksidan dianalisis dengan metode DPPH menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis dan dinyatakan dalam nilai IC50. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak n-heksana memiliki nilai IC50 sebesar 169,913 ppm, ekstrak etil asetat sebesar 124,728 ppm, ekstrak etanol sebesar 47,620 ppm, dan vitamin C sebagai kontrol positif sebesar 24,347 ppm. Berdasarkan nilai IC50, ekstrak etanol memiliki aktivitas antioksidan kategori kuat, ekstrak etil asetat kategori sedang, sedangkan ekstrak n-heksana kategori lemah. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pelarut etanol lebih efektif dalam mengekstraksi senyawa antioksidan pada daun jambu biji sehingga berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai sumber antioksidan alami dalam bidang pangan dan kesehatan.
